From castles to flowers: with the different baking tins of Nordic Ware Will your cake be anything but standard. The Nordic Ware Turban shape Heritage Bundt Klein Gold is made of cast aluminum and equipped with an anti-stick coating.
Thanks to the high quality and the cast aluminum you can enjoy the baking tins of your life from Nordic Ware. Provided you treat the form well before, during and after baking of course. The Nordic Ware Baking molds all contain an anti-stick coating, but you will have to grease the baking tin for the very best, and tastiest, result. There are two ways to do this well:
- Use a vegetable butter and divide it with a rubber brush evenly over the entire baking tin, take all corners and holes with you. Then light the shape lightly with flour. Shake this well in the mold, so that flour is also in all corners. Did this work? Then you can shake the excess flour out of the shape.
- Use a baking spray. But pay attention, not every baking spray is suitable. Make sure that the baking spray is vegetable and contains no lecithin. Lecithin can eventually leave a sticky layer in the baking tin, so that the non-stick coating no longer works at all. It is also useful if the baking spray contains flour. It remains important that you spread the spray well in the shape by means of a rubber brush.
When the baking tin is greased properly you can fill it with the batter, never fill the baking tin more than 2/3, to prevent leaks. Then it is time to put your baking tin in the oven with batter. At what temperature the oven should be and how long you have to bake the batter naturally depends on the recipe, keep an eye on this.
To be sure that your cake comes out of the oven well, it is best to use a thermometer to check the core temperature. Is your cake ready? Then let cool for 10 minutes in the mold before turning the shape and sliding the cake out of the mold. Never use iron or metal blades, forks or spoons to get the cake out of the mold. You damage the aluminum with this, so that the cake is less good next time.
