One of the most well-known designs from the Alessi collection is this citrus press designed by Philippe Starck during a dinner with Alberto Alessi where he was eating Calamari. Afterwards, Philippe handed over the placemat that was under his plate with the design for this classic, based on the shapes of the squid. A gilded version of this icon has now been made in a limited edition.
