Copper is the best heat supervisor after silver. This allows you to cook with copper pans extremely accurately: it allows you to choose a very precise temperature and keep the contents of the pan there for a long time.
Mepra Copper pans are made up of 3 layers:
1. Exterior of copper
2. Aluminum intermediate wall
3. Inside of stainless steel 18/10
The copper ensures optimum heat supervision, the aluminum forms the connection between the heat guidance of the copper and the strong stainless steel inside. This combination of materials gives you the benefits of copper and the benefits of stainless steel.
New copper pans must be carefully washed with boiling water. Dry the pan with a soft clean cloth. The pan is now ready for use.
Cleaning your copper pan
Copper pans will retain their beautiful shiny appearance if they are cleaned without chemicals. If there are stains on the pan, they can be polished with natural acids such as buttermilk or lemon juice and a little salt. Mix it in a container and rub your pan with it. Leave the pan for fifteen minutes and then rinse the pan.
