Pot sets & pan sets

You need good pots and pans to prepare delicious dishes. Would you like to get all your cooking equipment in one go? Then we recommend opting for pot sets and pan sets. It's ideal if you need to replace your existing pots and pans or if you're living alone for the first time. At Cookinglife you will find a suitable set for every occasion. We offer pans for steaming, grilling, baking, wok cooking, frying, braising, boiling or wok cooking. In our range you will find pan sets from leading brands such as: BK, Greenpan, Sola, WMF, Le Creuset and more. With over 80 pot and pan sets on offer, you are sure to find what you are looking for here.

At Cookinglife, we have a range of pot sets & pan sets for every heat source. This means we also have a wide range of pots and pans for induction. You can recognise pans that are suitable for induction by a spiral symbol with 3 loops in the product description. Would you like to know whether a pan set is suitable for induction cooking? Then take a look at the product information for the relevant set and navigate to the "Heat source" section. If you want to use a pan for induction cooking, it is important that the base of the pan is completely flat. The reason for this is that the hob is equipped with a magnetic field. This field ensures that the hob only heats where the pan touches the plate. This makes cooking with induction cookware very energy-efficient and safe.

Tip: Are you looking for a special pan for induction cooking? Then take a look at an induction frying pan, induction wok pan, induction frying pan, induction frying pan, induction frying pan or induction grill pan.

Which pots and pans make up a pan set?

At Cookinglife, we have pans for every occasion, which is reflected in our range. From cooking to frying, we offer a suitable pan set. But which pans does a set actually consist of? Every set is different, but we offer many sets with the following composition:

  • The cooking pots: The cooking pots in our sets come in different sizes. We also offer sets with many saucepans, such as the Sola Juvia.
  • Pan: A pan is also available in different sizes. Often in popular sizes such as 28 and 24 centimetres.
  • Saucepan/sauce pan: Our sets usually also include a saucepan. This pan is typically slightly smaller than a saucepan, which is why it is also known as a casserole.

If you opt for a larger pot set or pan set, these pans are also available:

  • Casserole: Do you like cooking stews? Then choose a set with a casserole, such as the BK Panset Profiline 4-piece.
  • Wok: Are you more of a lover of wok dishes? Then we can recommend a set such as the BK Panset Excellent 6-piece.

What should you look out for when buying a pan set?

Would you like to buy a pan set, but have no idea what to look out for when buying one? No problem! To help you with your decision, we have put together a list of important criteria. You can use these criteria to pick the best cookware set for you.

  • Heat source: Consider the heat source you want to cook with. Do you have an induction, gas, ceramic, halogen or electric hob? Buy a pan set that is suitable for your hob.
  • Volume/size: A good pan will last for years. Take this into account when selecting the volume of the pan. If you opt for a larger volume, you will be prepared for a possible expansion of your household. Also remember that the size of the pan should fit your hob. In our range you will find popular sizes such as: 20, 24 and 28 centimeters.
  • Material: Each type of material has its own advantages and disadvantages. A cast iron pan, for example, lasts a long time but is quite heavy. Stainless steel pans can withstand high temperatures and conduct heat well. However, the price of these pans is often high. Make sure you are well-informed about the advantages and disadvantages of the individual materials before making your choice.
  • Cold handles: Does the pan have cold handles? These are handles that always remain cold when cooking. This means that you can always hold the pan safely.
  • Lid: Does the pan have a lid? The advantage of a tight-fitting lid is that the moisture and heat remain in the pan. This means that the flavors are better preserved, and you cook more energy-efficiently.
  • Weight: You normally use a pan every day. It is therefore important that the weight of the pan suits you. Remember that some materials are heavy, such as cast iron. Materials such as copper and ceramic have a normal weight. Stainless steel and aluminum pans are light.
  • Appearance: You eat with your eyes, so it is also critical to pay attention to the appearance of the pan. Opt for a pan set with a plain look, or prefer colored pans.
  • Practical functions: Do you like user-friendliness? Then look out for practical functions, such as measuring lines on the inside of the pan.

Pots and pans with or without non-stick coating?

You may have already noticed, but we have not included non-stick coating in our list of concerns. Of course, it is an essential aspect, but we prefer to dedicate an entire article to this topic in order to inform you properly. After all, it is one of the most frequently asked questions about pans these days. Read here about the different non-stick coatings and their advantages and disadvantages.
