The development is a collaboration between Alessi himself and the Italian brand Illy. Illy has both knowledge about coffee and preparation methods with this type of percolator.

This collaboration created the most perfect percolator. The inside of the percolator, which was designed by the experts in the development center, has a perfect mould for the preparation of coffee. The outside of the percolator was designed by Michele De Lucchi. The unique round mould that the percolator has is due to the dozens of aluminum rings.

The Pulcina percolator is available in 3 sizes and 2 colors. The sizes are: 7 cl, 15 cl and 30 cl. For the colors, you can choose from black and red. This percolator is suitable for 3 cups, has a capacity of 15 cl and has a red handle. The percolator is suitable for gas, electric, ceramic and halogen.
